I am definitely a big fan of reuse and re-appropriation in design that raises questions about the status quo.
Tejo Remy is probably one of my favourite designers that I look to for inspiration in this area. His designs has a sense of nostalgia and contemporary function. He often gives it a dry humourous twist by combining old materials and techniques with new modern forms. I really like “
Chest of Drawers.” (above). This unorthodox piece is composed of various recycled drawers, all different sizes, colors and shapes, haphazardly bound together with a giant furniture mover's strap. Each piece unique.
