this is such an awesome idea! i have been guilty of buying products for their cool packaging and if i see this in the store, it'll totally be in my cart!
We won't see these for a while, ours is in plastic bottles ; mineral water ie. and plenty of them and with great designs too. But other than water is in such packaging.

Tap water is better for the earth.
While I do commend them for saving on shipment volume etc, I must point out that the first step in being environmental is to "reduce", with reuse & recycling to follow. So for an actually better environment, we shouldn't be finding something else to consume that we just throw into our less-than-perfect recycling programs, we should be findings things we can cut out of our consumerist ways. No matter what, recycling involves a whole other set of carbon-emitting steps: 1) trucks driving around to collect recyclables 2) shipping the sorted tetrapaks to an out-of-town/state/province/country recycling plant to process them. Has anyone got any idea where tetrapak recycling plants are located? I will bet you they are definitely not local to you.
I think we should be promoting support for city water systems & improving their infrastructure & instilling trust in the citizens to use their tap water. By buying into ANY form of the private water industry, we are supporting the notion that water can be a commercialized product when in fact it is a basic human right that has been stripped from over 2 billion people in the world as a result of privatization.
Today the Western nations are in the middle east fighting for control of their precious oil. Tomorrow it will be the world fighting to catch every drop of rain water.
YAY! I wish they had it down here.

Tap water is probably better when it comes to being ecological sensitive. But the design is cool nevertheless.
I think the packaging and the concept are great. Boxed water never occured to me, but it's an awesome idea.
Super for school kids too. Just what the pic shows, plant a vine and watch it grow.

On a related note, my fiancee is a Jr. Engineer with my county's Waste Management Department; she has seen the water table pollution surveys, and you would be shocked to see the amount of pollution coming from paper recycling facilities.
The process of recycling paper is (currently) quite pollutive, and (according to my fiancee) it is (currently) better for the environment to throw your paper in a landfill.
Where did you find these? I love the visual of all the boxes standing next to each other. So cool.
